Taking you through the streets of Smithfield and Clerkenwell (well off the tourist beaten track!) our Crime & Punishment Tour encompasses centuries of history, highlighting the stories of those who committed crimes, stood up to their Kings (& Queens!), and those who paid the price for their actions! This tour takes you back in time, when one wrong move could mean a sentence to death, and when those entering prison could never be sure they would ever come out again. With a focus on rebels and reformers, the evolution of crime as we know it, and just what 'justice' meant throughout the years, our Crime & Punishment Tour will take you to parts of London the average tourist never sees, giving you an insight into centuries of fascinating, turbulent history!

Where: Meet your guide outside the Cafe Nero outside St. Paul's Underground Station. Use our Google Map for directions to the tour start. Your tour guide will be holding the Free Tours by Foot logo. He or she will be standing near the Cafe Nero just outside EXIT 2 of St. Paul's Underground Station. Depending on the weather, your guide may be wearing an orange Free Tours by Foot t-shirt.
