How Hot Is Berlin in July?
Daytime highs tend to be around 21-23 C (70-73 F) early in June, warming to 23-25 C (74-77 F) by month’s end.
A few of the warmer afternoons, especially late in the month, can reach up near 31 C (88 F).
The record high temperature in Berlin during July is 37.9 C (100.2 F).
Late night and early morning low temperatures tend to be around 12-13 C (53-56 F) early in the month, warming to 14-15 C (58-59 F) later in the month.
A few of the cooler mornings, especially early in the month, can dip down near 11 C (51-52 F).
The record low temperature in Berlin during July is 5.4 C (41.7 F).
Does It Rain Much in July?
During July, expect about 12 sunny, 5 partly sunny, and 14 cloudy days in Berlin.
Some rain falls on about 15-18 days, however, only 8 of these will record at least 1 mm (0.04 inches) or more rain.
Daylight
The number of daylight hours decreases throughout this month from about 16.8 hours on the 1st to about 15.6 hours by the 31st.
Windspeed
During July the wind in Berlin tends to be mostly light to gentle at 6-19 kph (4-12 mph) but occasionally can be moderate at 20-28 kph (13-18 mph).
What to Wear in Berlin in July
The weather is comfortable, but nights can still be chilly.
A mix of summer and fall attire works best including both short and long-sleeved shirts, some jeans, or other light-weight pants, plus a sweater or windbreaker for the chilly evenings and mornings.
Don’t forget a couple of pairs of good walking shoes and at least one umbrella for those rainy days.
Things to Do in Berlin in July
There should be quite a few sunny days to enjoy in Berlin this July, so you might want to consider taking a pay-what-you-want walking tour.
The summer is also a very popular time for concerts, and you can usually expect a few high-profile musicians to perform in Berlin this month.
With the weather being so nice, this would be an excellent time to take a cruise on the river Spree and see all the most notable sites in Berlin from the water.
Throughout the month of July, Berliner Volksfestsommer will be taking place, and it's basically a giant festival with a variety of games, rides, live performers, and great food to eat.
