BACKSTAGE TOURS OF THE GRAND OLE OPRY HOUSE

If you’ve ever wanted to get a behind-the-curtain look at the theater that made country music famous, these tours are for you!

Depending on which package you purchase, Grand Ole Opry House backstage tour tickets range from $46 to $195 for adults.

There are three different tours you can take: a Daytime Tour, a Post-Show Tour, and a VIP Tour.

These tours sell out quickly, so it’s essential to purchase tickets well in advance.

Since you can't walk around the Grand Ole Opry House on your own, these tours are the only way you can discover the beauty and history of this cultural landmark.

Daytime Tour

This one-hour tour takes place either on days when there are no concerts scheduled or early in the day before a concert.

On your backstage tour, an expert guide shares stories about country music's biggest names and shows you where artists enter into the building, and potentially even step on stage.

Some tours may also stop in Studio A to give visitors a look at the former home of the historic television show Hee Haw.

TIP: This tour is included on Nashville tourist passes and combo package tickets. You can also save money if you are a military member or if you have a AAA card.

Read our ways to save section for more details.

Post-Show Tour

This tour experience is the same as the daytime tour but takes place after the show.

Guests have an opportunity to see the entrance where artists came in earlier – and who knows? Maybe you’ll catch them before they leave!

You can also expect to see some of the Opry’s themed dressing rooms while learning about the history of the venue.

Post-show tours also usually include opportunities to step on stage and visit Studio A.

NOTE: You are required to have a ticket for that night's show in order to take the post-show tour.

VIP Tour

If you’re in the market for a more special experience at the Grand Ole Opry House, this is the best tour option.

In addition to all the subjects covered during daytime and post-show tours, VIP guests also have the opportunity to enjoy special activities.

This tour includes a look at the backstage area just before showtime, giving visitors a chance to see how the show comes together.

You will also spend some time in the Green Room and watch the big red curtain rise from the side of the stage. Better still, you will enjoy the first performance of the night after the curtain rises!

Needless to say, these tours are only available on nights when there is a show at the Opry House.

  • Ticket Prices: $222.40 per person
  • Availability: Only on performance nights at 6 pm
  • Includes admission to the show
  • Duration: 3-4 hours
  • Purchase tickets or learn more.
