In the early 1900s, a group of independent movie producers wishing to escape the eastern movie establishment made their way west to California.
These producers called themselves the United Artists, and by 1910 they found themselves in the tiny village of Hollywood.
It was then only known for its marvelous fruit trees, but it quickly grew into the center of the entertainment universe.
Most people think of movies and celebrities when they hear that name, but it’s also a neighborhood of the city of Los Angeles with a rich history.
