5. Celebrate the Haitian Compas Festival
Now in its 26th year, the Haitian Compas Festival celebrates everything Haitian including music, food, and culture.
Come for the Compas (or kompa), a modern meringue dance music from Haiti, and other music.
You'll find traditional Haitian food and loads of other activities.
Events take place May 18th, 2024, in the past at Bayfront Park in Miami.

6. Take a Sightseeing Tour
In May, the weather is sunny and beautiful, which is the perfect time to take a sightseeing tour. There are several great walking tours in Miami.

8. Spend Memorial Day Weekend on the Beach

9. Miami International Piano Festival
The 2023-24 season marks the 25th Anniversary of the Miami International Piano Festival which focuses on introducing audiences to exceptional and talented pianists.
The idea behind this event is to promote and support incredible artists by giving them a platform where they can perform and share their talents with the world.

10. Redland International Orchid Show
Come enjoy all the vibrant colors with more than 50 booths of orchid vendors at the annual Redland International Orchid Show.
Redland is less than an hour's drive from Miami.
There's even an event judged by the American Orchid Society!
