HOW COLD IS PARIS IN APRIL?
Spring weather begins this month in Paris as daily high temperatures warm from 12-13C (mid-50s F) early in April to about 16 C (lower 60s F) near the end of the month.
On a few of the warmer afternoons, late in April, daytime temperature can sometimes reach 22-23 C (low to mid-70s F).
The record high temperature for Paris in April is 26 C (79 F).
Late night and early morning low temperatures will tend to be near 4-5 C (40s F) early in April, warming to 7-8 C (mid-40s F) by the end of the month.
A few of the colder mornings, especially early in the month, can dip down to 1-2 C (mid-30s F). The record low temperature for Paris during April is -3 C (26 F).
HOW MUCH SUN AND RAIN?
About 13-14 days this month will be sunny or at least partly sunny.
About 13 days, on average, will record some rainfall, however, only about 7 records at least 1 mm (.04 inches) of rain.
During this month daylight hours increase fairly rapidly from just under 13 hours on April 1st to about 14.5 hours by the 30th giving you ample time to explore this great city.
Wind speeds are generally light to occasionally moderate.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
A mix of spring and winter clothes is best this month so you can layer your clothes as evenings and nights tend to be cold with afternoons cool.
A raincoat and/or umbrella will come in handy for those wet days and don’t forget to bring some comfortable walking shoes as well.
