Daytime high temperatures begin to moderate this month.

However, you can still expect afternoon highs near 36 C (97-98 F) early in the month, cooling to 33-34 C (91-93 F) near the end of the month.

A few of the hotter afternoons, especially early in the month, can reach up near 39 C (102 F).

The record high temperature in Dubai during October is 42 C (107.6 F). 

Late night and early morning temperatures tend to average 22-24 C (72-75 F) early in the month, cooling to 20-21 C (68-70 F) near the end of the month.

A few of the cooler mornings, especially late in the month, can dip down near 18 C (64-65 F). 

The record low temperature in Dubai during October is 11.8 C (53.2 F).


Sun and Rain

During October you can expect about 24-25 sunny, 3-4 partly sunny, and about 3 mostly cloudy days with 4 days experiencing blowing dust or sand.

The number of daylight hours diminishes this month from about 11.9 hours on the 1st to about 11.2 hours by the 31st.

The beach is a good way to get some relief from the afternoon heat.

Ocean temperatures begin to cool this month, falling from about 32 C (89-90 F) early in the month to about 29-30 C (84-85 F) near the end of the month.


What to Wear in Dubai in October

Very warm to hot weather prevails this month but always wear clothing that covers your shoulders and your knees.

Dress in light, airy fabrics that will keep you cool but do not wear clothes that are too tight or too revealing for both men and women.

Women should wear loose-fitting dresses and tops and trousers.

Skirts should be knee-length or longer, and shorts should be avoided.

It's best to avoid wearing any sleeveless shirts, sleeveless dresses, mini-skirts, and short shorts. 

Near the end of the month, there may be a couple of cool mornings so a light sweater may come in handy.

Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, a sun hat, and sunscreen.


Things to Do in Dubai in October

While the weather is usually quite hot in Dubai during the summer, by October things have cooled down enough that you might want to consider taking a pay-what-you-wish walking tour.

There's never a bad time to visit one of the amusement parks in Dubai, and there are many to choose from.

This might also be a good time to consider going on a Desert Safari!

Alternatively, if it is a bit too hot, you can also spend some time at indoor locations such as the Dubai Aquarium or the Lost Chambers Aquarium.
