We also have a post on tips on how to cross the Brooklyn Bridge as well as things to do in Brooklyn.

HOW LONG IS THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE?

The Brooklyn Bridge is approximately 1.1 miles in length (or roughly 1.8 km).

However, entrances for the pedestrian walkway are approximately 1.6 miles apart (or roughly 2.6 km).

How Long is the Brooklyn Bridge

Most visitors will not walk the complete promenade, as there are a couple of places where one can reach the promenade along the way.

For example, many visitors will start from the Manhattan side of the bridge and walk to the High Street subway station.

There they will catch the A or C train back into Manhattan, which is 1.4 miles in length (or roughly 2.3 km).

This is the length that you should consider when calculating the time needed to cross the bridge.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO WALK OVER THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE?

The short answer is 60 minutes. That's the time that most visitors to the bridge take to cross.

New York commuters hurrying to work spend 25 minutes crossing the Brooklyn Bridge.

However, in this post, we are focused on visitors who want to experience the bridge.
