5. Go Ice Skating
Believe it or not, you can actually enjoy the festive activity of ice skating in Las Vegas.
During the winter, the Cosmopolitan opens up an ice rink where you can go skating with your family or loved ones.
Aside from the skating rink, there will also be snow showers every 30 minutes, fire pits to sit by, and plenty of great holiday treats to purchase.
In years past, this attraction has been available throughout the entire month of December, and it is usually open until midnight each evening.
While entry into the area is free, admission for ice skating has cost about $20 per person in previous years.
That said, if you just want to enjoy the atmosphere, it won’t cost a thing to visit this location!
6. Celebrate the Holidays at The LINQ Promenade
If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, a trip to the LINQ Promenade is definitely in order.
This public area turns into a winter wonderland every December, with plenty of fun activities to enjoy.
Visitors can expect a variety of festive decorations, carolers and holiday music, as well as a holiday show featuring singing and dancing every night.
These performances are entirely free to enjoy!
In addition to the holiday shows, the decorations, the music and everything else, the High Roller ferris wheel ride will be decorated for the season.
TIP: Admission to the High Roller ferris wheel is included with the Go Las Vegas Card at no extra cost.
7. Attend the Great Santa Run
On December 3rd, 2022 Opportunity Village will be hosting a holiday-themed race and every contestant will be dressed as Santa Claus.
In addition to the race itself, there will also be live entertainment, festive music and other fun activities to enjoy, as well as an after-party at the finish of the race.
The Great Santa Run will be taking place at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas.
The event will begin at around 8 am and run until at least 1:30 pm.
NOTE: There is a walking tour of Fremont Street included with most major Las Vegas tourist passes.
8. Take the Kids to Bellagio Conservatory
During the holiday season, the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens gets decked out with festive decorations – often made with flowers and plants.
In years past, they’ve had displays with the Coca-Cola polar bears, and you can usually expect to see at least a few Christmas trees while you’re here.
This is one of the few areas of the Bellagio where children are actually welcome, and it’s entirely free for all families to enjoy.
The Bellagio Conservatory will be open for the holidays throughout the month of December.
9. Attend a Sporting Event
There are typically several great games to attend in Las Vegas this month.

10. Save Money With a Tourist Pass
No matter what types of activities you have planned while visiting Las Vegas, a tourist pass could help you save a lot of money.
