Bounce and its competitors listed below employ a similar system to Airbnb, but for luggage.

They find convenient locations for travelers, such as souvenir and gift shops, convenience stores, restaurants, coffee houses, even hotels, who have the capacity and the security to hold and secure your luggage.

Stasher

Like Vertoe, Stasher offers an Airbnb-type service for luggage storage.

One feature that stands out is that they claim most of their locations are open 24 hours a day.

$6/day/bag. $5/day/bag for each additional day. $1200 in insurance.


Nanny Bag

Another reputable company that has locations throughout the world. Prices are $2/bag/hour up to $6/day with $2000 of insurance.

Radical Storage

This company currently offers several different storage locations in San Francisco which they call "Angels."

These Angels are located at a variety of sites throughout the city, including hotels, restaurants, and other local businesses.

You can find a place to store your belongings near notable attractions such as Union Square, Chinatown, Nob Hill, and many other areas of the Bay Area.

Prices start at $6 per item per day, and they provide a guaranteed 3-minute check-in process.

STORAGE CENTERS

Drop Bag To Us

Drop Bag To Us has only one location, 922 Folsom Street, Door 155 in SoMA.

But there are quite a few perks offered at this one location. In addition to storing your bag, they offer free Wi-Fi and printing.

For the backpackers roughing it a bit, or anyone who just needs a freshening up, you can take a shower for $10 which includes body wash, shampoo, and a towel.

They are open 7 days a week from 9 am- 10 pm (closed for meals from 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm and again from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm). 

Their rates are a flat fee for up to 24 hours. A nice bonus is 50% off each additional day.

  • Small Bags - $5 - Handbags, Shopping Bags, Computer Bags
  • Bags - $10 - Max 50 lbs (23 kg) - Suitcase, Luggage bags, Climbing bag, Backpack, etc
  • Big Bags - $15 - 50 lbs-100 lbs / (23 Kg-45 Kg)

Some other great features: No reservations are not necessary and they welcome walk-ins.

California Welcome Center

The CWC, located at Pier 39 at Fisherman’s Wharf,  offers luggage storage for a very good price.

It is the perfect solution if you have time to kill before your flight and want to enjoy your last few hours in San Fran without dragging your bags around. 

Their hours of operation are 9 am-7 pm daily and they will store your bags until 6:45 pm.

The cost is $5 for small bags (backpacks and smaller) and $10 for all suitcases, large backpacks and duffel bags, regardless of how many hours that same day you leave your bag.

Drop it off at 10 am and get it at 6 pm, it's $5. Drop it off at noon and get it at 2 pm, it's $5.


AIRPORT STORAGE

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

Baggage storage is available at the Airport Travel Agency, located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal, near the entrance to Gates G91-G102.

  • Daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Rates vary anywhere from $15-35 per item, per 24 hours depending on the size.
  • Bags stored less than 24 hours will be subject to the 24-hour rate
  • No reservations necessary
  • All baggage is x-rayed prior to storage.
