HOW WARM IS IT IN LA IN SEPTEMBER?

Summer weather continues to prevail in Los Angeles during September with warm afternoons and mostly comfortable evenings and mornings, although a couple of cooler days can be expected near the end to the month.

Afternoon high temperatures tend to be in the mid-80s F (28-29 C) early in the month but fall into the lower 80s F (about 27 C) near the end of the month.

A few of the warmer afternoons, especially early in the month, will reach into the low to mid 90s F (33-34 C).

Average Temperatures in LA in September?

You should expect 5-6 days this month when high temperatures reach or exceed 90 F (about 32 C) with highs of 100 F (about 38 C) or more occurring once every 2-3 years.

The record high temperature in Los Angeles during September is 113F (45.0 C).

Late night and early morning low temperatures tend to be in the mid-60s F (18-19 C) early in September falling into the low to mid 60s F (about 17 C) towards the end of the month.

A few of the cooler mornings, late in the month, can dip down into the upper 50s F (14-15 C). The record low temperature in Los Angeles during September is 47 F (8.3 C).

Skies during September tend to be clear or at least partly sunny on about 24-27 days with measurable rainfall limited to 1 day on average, usually near the end of the month.

Significant rainfalls of 0.5 inches (about 13 mm) or more only occur about once each decade.

How Much Sunshine in LA in September?

Humidity levels during September tend to range from comfortable to humid with 1 day on average considered to be muggy.

Daylight hours continue to decrease during September from just under 13 hours early in the month to just under 12 hours near the end of the month.
