AVERAGE JULY TEMPERATURES
Unlike other parts of the United States, it can actually be a little chilly during July in San Francisco.
In the city itself, temperatures above 80 F (27 C) are unusual.
Most of the time, you can expect the temperature to remain in the mid-60s F (17-19 C).
Depending on where you are in the city, some days reach up into the 80s F (27-28 C)
The usual early morning and late night lows are mid-50s F (12 to 13 °C).
HOW MUCH SUN AND RAIN?
Most of the days this month will be sunny or partly sunny as July averages 29 days of sunshine.
The rest of the days are more likely to be cloudy than rainy.
How Foggy is it in July in San Francisco?
There might often be fog in the morning and sometimes an afternoon fog may come in with a breeze.
Do I Need an Umbrella in San Francisco in July?
No! July is well into the dry season, and you are unlikely to see any rain. We average less than 1 mm of rain over the entire month.

WHAT TO WEAR IN SAN FRANCISCO IN JULY
As with many months of the year, it is important to plan for many different types of weather.
Even if the temperature reaches the 80s during the day, you can be sure that evening and nighttime temperatures will drop into the high 50s F (14 C).
So be sure to bring layers! With a light jacket or windbreaker, jeans, and shirts, you should be comfortable during your trip.
As always, don't forget to pack some comfortable walking shoes!
