There is a new no-frills hotel in town that the city has been craving- Zabeel House by Jumeirah. The hotel is an explorer’s dream and offers an affordable stay with Jumeirah’s convenient service.

Where are the Zabeel House Hotels, Dubai located?

Zabeel House by Jumeirah is the second hotel to launch at Al Seef, which is operated by Meeras and brings together elements of Dubai’s past and present in one of the city’s most historically significant districts. The first hotel is the Zabeel House Mini, which is right next to Zabeel House, with a lower price point that doesn’t skimp on style or comfort.

The Zabeel House is a four-star property while the Zabeel House mini is a three-star property. However, being a part of the Jumeirah collection, they are described as ‘maximum attitude, minimum frills’.

Al Seef, the new cultural district on the shores of Dubai Creek, just keeps getting better. New shops and restaurants are popping up all the time. Meeras is also the mastermind behind The Beach, Box Park, City Walk and La Mer; a busy two-kilometer promenade of shops, cafes, and pop-ups on the south bank of Dubai Creek.

Who operates the Zabeel House Hotels?

Born in Dubai, Zabeel House by Jumeirah is a wide-ranging collection of hotels located in the heart of vibrant neighborhoods in key cities around the world. Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, operates a world-class portfolio of hotels and resorts. The Jumeirah groups are also the creator of Burj Al Arab.

There are currently five hotels planned for the collection. There is one in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one in London, UK, and three in Dubai: Zabeel House by Jumeirah - Al Seef; Zabeel House MINI by Jumeirah - Al Seef and Zabeel House by Jumeirah – The Greens.

All About the Zabeel House Hotel

The hotel is a new ‘Upscale-Casual’ collection of the Jumeirah group. Think design-led spaces, moderately-priced comfy rooms with just enough added extras, and welcoming and unobtrusive staff. It’s the basics done brilliantly, with a touch of the instinctive hospitality.

Zabeel House

There are 200 rooms in Zabeel House. The rooms come in three varied sizes (the Plush, the Popular and Suites) for solo travelers, couples or families. The Zabeel House’s lobby is filled with a collection of contrasting art and design pieces and bookcases. It has a destination restaurant that stretches out over the waters of Dubai Creek. Furthermore, there is a rooftop bar and pool with views across both old and new Dubai, Zabeel House provides a completely new experience. With three room sizes, the hotel offers contemporary retreats made for rising above the city’s round-the-clock energy, mixing comfort with an edgy style.

Zabeel House has four restaurants and cafes. CHAPTERS is not your normal lobby bar, guests are encouraged to settle in for a while with one of the books pulled down from the surrounding bookcases. Through the lobby, you’ll find NYON serving the Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern bites throughout the day.  To get a full flavor of Emirati delicacies, why not try our food tour of Dubai?

Skafos, opening after the summer, will be an alfresco gastro restaurant reaching out over the waters of Dubai Creek and seven floors above, Sol Sky Bar sits on the brim of the rooftop pool.

Zabeel House Mini

Zabeel house mini does not discriminate. No matter who you are, you’re staying in one of the 150 Pocket Rooms. You will be immediately reminded that Dubai is always a good idea through the messaging on the wall. The room is designed for the explorer; it inspires you to get outdoors and has everything you need when it’s time to relax. There are vintage telephones for dialing at the reception and a ceiling that shows you around Dubai.

The lobby at Zabeel House Mini is certainly not your typical hotel lobby; in fact, it’s much more of a creative hangout split into different chilling areas. From the stylish rope swings to the cushioned couch areas, space pops with color and is oozing with Instagram inspiration. We love the lively vibes and the way that you can feel at home whether you’re working at the communal benches or checking out the eclectic artwork around you.

Zabeel House mini has two restaurants, C.U and MishMash. C.U offers some great Thai food. Also, make sure you Look out for the table in MishMash that opens into a pool table for some friendly competition.

There is also a courtyard space designed for pop-up events and outdoor film.

What do the two hotels share?

The hotels also feature and share creative spaces to work from as well as five meeting rooms for the corporates.

From the group of human sculptures raising their hats to you as you enter the hotel to the abstract art display called the ‘cityscape’ which portrays Dubai’s transformation and the stereos that adorn the reception desk and the spa, there are design details to inspire in the lobby.

If you’re looking for zen throughout your stay, there is a well-equipped indoor gym, complete with sauna, steam room, and two treatment rooms – or head out for a run on the 2-kilometer promenade that stretches from the hotel alongside the Creek.

There are cycle racks to cycle around Al Seef and easy access by Abra to Deira, another side of the creek. For exploring more of the Deira and Al Fahidi Neighbourhood you can try our Old Dubai & Souk Heritage walking tour.

What do we love about the Zabeel House Hotels?

With an unbeatable location like Dubai Creek and Al Seef, the hotel is easily accessible by metro (walking from Burjuman Metro) and by car. The hotel is affordable and has a unique design and an art concept. You will love the stay at Zabeel House because of the vibrant look and positive vibes it offers. If you are an Art lover, why not check out the art scene in Dubai?

From a design perspective, one of the striking centerpieces of the hotel is the Cityscape feature, which portrays Dubai’s ongoing transformation. This is a feature befitting its location in Al Seef on Dubai Creek. Dubai Creek was formerly one of the city’s most important trading hubs.

Both the Zabeel House and Zabeel House Mini are in the contemporary area of Al Seef. A third hotel, offering a more traditional Arabian experience, is planned for the heritage area. We are excited to see what more this Hotel group offers! Plan your next weekend getaway to this property to have an amazing time and some lovely instagrammable pictures!
