OVERVIEW

There are two different types of discount passes in Lisbon, and they both provide excellent deals on a variety of popular tours, museums, historical sites, transport, and more.

Depending on what your plans are while visiting the city, you should be able to save between 20% - 50% off general admission prices for some of the following services and locations:

  • Hop on Hop off Bus Tours
  • Jerónimos Monastery
  • Mafra National Palace
  • Sintra Mitos e Lendas
  • Pilar7 Bridge Experience
  • National Museum of Theatre and Dance
  • National Ancient Art Museum
  • National Music Museum
  • National Pantheon
  • Belém Tower
  • And more!

With that said, let’s take a look at some of the differences between each pass to help you determine which one will fit your needs and expectations.

ALL-INCLUSIVE

This section will provide information about the all-inclusive pass options in Lisbon.

We include details about how to use the pass, activities, and attractions provided, and a sample itinerary to show how much money you can save.

Lisboa Card

If you’re looking for one pass to cover just about everything you could imagine doing in Lisbon, this card is probably your best bet.

In addition to offering free admission to dozens of popular attractions and activities, the Lisboa Card also includes discounts on more than 70 different tours, museums, historic sites, and other services.

You’ll also receive a free travel pass which can be used on all buses, trams, metro, and other forms of public transportation for the amount of time that your card is active.

The Lisboa Card is available for either 1, 2, or 3 days at a time, and you’ll save more money per day by purchasing the longest available pass.

Another great advantage of using this pass is that you won’t have to wait in line for tickets, as you can just present your pass and get into any included attraction with ease!

Here are some of the most popular and notable attractions included with this service:

  • Belém Tower | €6
  • Jerónimos Monastery | €10
  • Sintra Mitos e Lendas | €4.50
  • Pilar7 Bridge Experience | €6
  • National Ancient Art Museum | €6
  • Mafra National Palace | €6
  • LISBOA Story Centre | €7
  • National Tile Museum | €5
  • National Coach Museum | €8
  • Batalha Monastery | €6
  • National Pantheon | €4
  • Alcobaça Monastery | €6
  • National Museum of Theatre and Dance | €4
  • National Costume Museum | €4
  • Tomar Convent of Christ | €6
  • And more!

Here are the prices you can expect to pay per day for the Lisboa Card:

  • 24 Hour Card: €21 per person
  • 48 Hour Card: €35 per person
    • Cost per day: €17.50
  • 72 Hour Card: €44 per person
    • Cost per day: €14.66

Purchase a Lisboa Card or learn more.

Needless to say, a lot of these activities are already very affordable, but if you’re planning to visit at least 4-5 of them, the Lisboa Card could still save you plenty of money.

Here’s an example of how you could use a 3-day pass to get a good deal on tickets:

Day 1

  • LISBOA Story Centre | €7
  • Pilar7 Bridge Experience | €6
  • National Pantheon | €4
  • Belém Tower | €6

Day 2

  • Jerónimos Monastery | €10
  • National Coach Museum | €8
  • Mafra National Palace | €6
  • National Costume Museum | €4

Day 3

  • Batalha Monastery | €6
  • Alcobaça Monastery | €6
  • National Ancient Art Museum | €6
  • Sintra Mitos e Lendas | €4.50

Total Value: €73.50

Total Price: €44

Total Savings: €29.50 (40% off)

As you can see, it’s entirely possible to save 40% - 50% off general admission prices, but you’ll need to use the pass for at least 4 attractions per day to get the best deals.

It is important to note that if you decide not to use the Lisboa Card, you can still return it up to 24 hours before it is activated for a full refund.

LISBON DAY PASS (CRUISE PASS)

This section will cover the cruise pass currently available in Lisbon, including information about what services are provided and additional discounts to consider.

This tourist pass is designed specifically for visitors who are coming to Lisbon via a cruise, but it could be good for just about anyone!

One of the main services included is a Hop on Hop off Bus Tour (€15 - €20 value) which you can use to travel around the city to all of the most notable and historic landmarks.

In addition to this, the Lisbon Day Pass also includes admission to the following locations for free:

  • Belém Tower | €6
  • Jerónimos Monastery | €10

This pass also includes a 20% discount on several additional activities, tours, museums, historic sites and more!

Unfortunately, since it is designed for people who are coming to Lisbon on a cruise ship, this pass is only valid for one day.

  • €66.50 per person
  • Availability: Daily

Purchase the Lisbon Day Pass.

While it might not seem like you’re saving much with this discount pass, the extra 20% off at a variety of different locations can really come in handy.

It’s also worth noting that this pass at least makes it easy to get around town and see Lisbon in one day while you’re also enjoying a cruise.

If you have this pass, all you have to do is jump on the sightseeing bus at your cruise terminal and explore the city at your leisure.

Sadly, even with the 20% off discount, it’d be pretty difficult to make this pass as good of a deal as the Lisboa Card – and it costs more than their 3-day option for just one day!

While some travelers might find this easier to use for a one-day outing, we recommend considering an alternative option to get the best possible deal on various attractions and activities in Lisbon.

While other passes are designed for just about every type of visitor, this pass is specifically intended for people who are visiting Lisbon via a cruise ship.

The Cruise Pass is valid for one day and it includes a handful of activities/attractions for one low price.

In addition to offering free admission for certain services, you can also save 20% off at a variety of additional locations.

One of the main services included is a hop on hop off bus tour which makes a stop at various cruise terminals, allowing you to jump on and explore the city with ease.

While you’re touring the city, you’ll have the opportunity to get off the bus at a few different historic sites and take a look inside.

Although this pass is intended for people who are visiting Lisbon on a cruise, there’s nothing stopping you from using it if you’re using another method of travel.

COMBO PACKAGES

While these aren’t technically tourist passes, they are a great way to save money on some of the more popular attractions in Lisbon.

Combo packages typically include at least 2-3 popular attractions or tours for one flat price, providing a discount of around 20% - 40% off.

Although you won’t save as much with a combo deal as you will with the tourist passes on this page, you will at least save some money, so it’s definitely worth it if you’re already interested in the services included.

Most combo packages include at least one hop on hop off bus tour, allowing you to explore the city at your own pace.
