2018 was the year of Dua Lipa, Backstreet Boys and Ricky Martin in Dubai. In this post, we will tell you the upcoming music concerts in Dubai in 2019. Make sure to mark these dates in your calendar!
With “Havana” topping all charts in 2018, Camilia Cabello became a known name to everyone with her solo album release in January 2018. She is performing in the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on the second day of RedFestDXB on February 15. Tickets cost AED 395 and can be purchased here.
American Rapper, G-Eazy will be performing in the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on the opening night of RedFestDXB on February 14. The event will take place over two days, On February 14 and 15. Tickets for the concert are priced at AED 395 and can be purchased here..
He has also performed in Dubai previously, in Cavalli Club.
Snow Patrol will perform at the 2019 Dubai Jazz Festival in Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from February 20 to 22, with the Irish rockers set to perform on the opening evening on February 20. It will be the band’s first performance in the UAE since 2012, when they headlined the Sandance music festival on the Palm Jumeirah.
Tickets are priced at AED 350.
Described as the Queen of R&B, Alicia Keys will set the stage on fire with her performance on February 22 at the 2019 Dubai Jazz Festival in Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Tickets cost AED 350.
Vishal and Shekar
Bollywood fans, make sure to block your calendar on February 7 to attend Vishal and Shekhar’s live performance in Bollywood Parks. Put your dancing shoes on as this will be one rocking concert. Tickets are priced at AED 150.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
On March 1 and 2, audiences can rediscover Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets while the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra performs Patrick Doyle’s unforgettable score and Harry Potter soars across the big screen in high-definition at Dubai Opera.
Rita Ora, Little Mix
Saturday, March 23 will be Rita Ora and Little Mix’s concert at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. This music concert is in honour of all the teachers in Dubai, to thank them for their hard work. The event is called “The Assembly: A Global Teacher Prize Concert”. Tickets are priced at AED 350.
Rita Ora delivered successful hits in 2018 with “Let me Love you” and “Anywhere” from the music album “Phoenix”.
The Gipsy Kings
Dubai Opera is set to feature The Gipsy Kings with their comeback in Dubai this year. The Gipsy Kings, led by André Reyes, are a French musical group who are most famous for their catchy songs including “Bamboleo”, “Djobi Djoba”and “A Mi Manera”. You might also be familiar with their Spanish take on “Hotel California”, which you can see them perform on March 6 for AED 195. Tickets can be purchased from the Dubai Opera website.

Boyzone fans, this one is for you!
Legendary Irish boyband Boyzone will perform at Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Stadium on Friday, April 12. The four-piece boyband enjoyed more than 25 successful years in the music industry, racking up number ones including. Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham, and Keith Duffy parted ways back in 2000 after seven years together but reunited in 2009 for the “Back Again… No Matter What” tour and again 2013 to celebrate their 20th anniversary with a tour and new music. This is set to be your last chance to see the boyband, who announced last year that they are splitting up for good after their farewell tour in 2019.

Amy Dickson and Amira Fouad
Dubai Opera will host two times Grammy nominated, British-Australian saxophonist on May 1. She recently launched her third album Dusk and Dawn, which attained the coveted No. 1 position in the UK Classical Album Charts. Tickets are priced at AED 150 per person can be bought here.

The Brand-New Heavies
What a way to end the season! The brand-new heavies. Bringing in their unique sound of acid jazz and funk to the Irish Village Groove into the summer.

Wednesday, June 12, Dubai opera will host the Official Harpist to the Prince of Wales from 2000 to 2004, Catrin Finch. Her top famous songs include Listen to the Grass Grow and Bach to Biasso. The event will start at 8 pm and there is a general admission fee of AED 150 per person and onwards. Tickets can be bought here.
Dubai Opera will host the highly acclaimed Parisian new wave band ‘Nouvelle Vague’ as part of their 15th Anniversary world tour, on the 25th of June 2019.
Led by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux, ‘Nouvelle Vague’ released their first album in 2004, with renditions of Punk and New Wave hits reinterpreted by female singers in the dreamy style of the 50s and 60s Bossa Nova, with lush arrangements and entrancing vocals. Nouvelle Vague soon became a global phenomenon.
After five studio albums and many extensive global tours, Nouvelle Vague is now celebrating their fifteenth anniversary with an international unplugged tour in 2019 keeping with the band’s original 2004 format: an acoustic guitar, a few keyboards, a smattering of ambiance, and two singers, performing the band’s iconic songs.

Puccini’s Turandot by Shanghai Opera House
Puccini by Shanghai Opera House will make its Middle East debut at Dubai Opera on September 5, with its spectacular masterpiece “Turandot”. The event will last till September 7 and will start at 8 pm on all three days.
Turandot is Puccini’s final opera, featuring arguably the most famous tenor aria in the opera repertoire, the iconic “Nessun Dorma”, an instantly recognizable piece of music. This magical version of Turandot, under the direction of Roberto Andò, was held as the first new opera production of Shanghai Opera House’s 2018 Season, receiving wide acclaim. Tickets can be bought here.
Dubai Opera will host the next September event by Shanghai Opera House on September 11 and 12, composed by Du Wei Yuanyuan and performed by Shanghai Opera House Dance Ensemble.
Early Spring is an original Dance Drama, adapted from the novel February of Rou Shi. In front of the contradictions between ideality and reality, the protagonist Xiao Jianqiu’s feelings, serving as the main line, reflected a prevalent indifference to the vulnerable during the 1920s in the traditional rural culture in China. The seemingly unintentional gossips and gibes have suppressed kindness and destroyed human nature, and finally led to tragedy.

Dubai Opera and Dubai will host the world’s most popular musical, The Phantom of the Opera for the first time from October 16, 2019, through October 29, 2019.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber blockbuster has won over 70 major theatre awards, including seven Tony’s on Broadway and four Olivier Awards in the West End. The Phantom of the Opera became the longest running show in Broadway history on January 9, 2006, when it celebrated its 7,486th performance. On January 1, 2018, it celebrated its 13,000th performance and later that month on January 24, the Broadway production celebrated an amazing 30 years on Broadway.
