Ready. Set. Shoot!  Join us on one of our New York Photography Tours.  A licensed guide and talented photographer will instruct you on how to make your trip memorable and improve your photography, while also supplying fun facts and history about the area you're touring around. These two-in-one tours are fun for all ages, camera types, (even iPhones and smart devices), and levels of photography.

Note -- Our photos are similar to our regular walking tours, where you will tour the sights, but with an emphasis on capturing memorable photos.  Your guide will point out images and vistas as he gives information on the site. He will also give you photo tips how to get your shots.  However, this is not a traditional photography tour with a focus on how to master camera skills

Central Park Daytime Photography Tour 

Explore Central Park’s most scenic spots!  Join us to have a great time if your passion is New York and photography while visiting the lungs of Manhattan. We will pass the Ramble, the Bow Bridge, The Point and more! Don't forget to check out our regular Central Park walking tours as well as our Central Park bike tours.


Central Park Sunset Photo Tour

Sunsets are a special time and what better place in New York City to experience and photograph the setting sun than the Middle Section of Central Park.

A licensed guide, renowned photographer, and a downtown Manhattan resident of 40 years will guide you through some of the most iconic Central Park settings during what photographers call "the golden hour “ -   Summit Rock, Winterdale Arc, the Great Lawn, Belvedere Castle, the Ramble, the Lake and Bow Bridge. You will be directed in how to get your shots no matter what’s the evening sky.   Learn a bit about the Middle Section of Central Park as you hone your photographic skills.

Where: The daytime Central Park photo tour starts at 59th street and 5th avenue in front of Pulitzer Fountain (map)(photo). The Central Park Sunset Photo Tour starts at the park entrance directly across the street from the American Museum of Natural History at the intersection of Central Park West and 79th Street (map).

Duration: Approximately 2 hours. Tour distance is approximately 1.5 miles (2k)

 High Line Photography Tour  

Tour the High Line with a licensed guide, renowned photographer, and a downtown Manhattan resident of 40 years. See spectacular views and vivid details of the west side of mid -Manhattan. Your guide will provide you with photo opportunities galore and will direct you in how to get your shots  – views over the Hudson River, a vast range and display of wild self-seeding plants, and a time-capsule (mid–19th century into the 21st) of urban architecture.

The recycling of this an old elevated rail line into a public park has driven an urban revitalization in the area – art galleries, high tech companies, retail fashion, new residential high rises and the construction of the newest Manhattan neighborhood, the Hudson Yards. Learn the history of Chelsea from top of High Line as you hone your photographic skills.

Where: Jackson Square Park at W 13th Street and 8th Avenue (map). The tour ends at the end of High Line W 34 St/12 Ave – frequent ( M34) buses run back to all the subways on 34th street- Penn Station, Herald Sq, Lex Ave.

Lower Manhattan/Brooklyn Sunset Photography Tour

Are you looking for images of Lower Manhattan Skyline and sunsets?  This photography tour is for you.  A licensed guide, renowned photographer, and a downtown Manhattan resident of 40 years will guide you from pier 11 on Wall Street across the East River via ferry to Fulton Landing, Brooklyn during what photographers call "the golden hour." You will tour Brooklyn Bridge Park and Dumbo as you strategically set up your shots for the evening sunset. The tour will finish with a walk back over the Brooklyn Bridge to Lower Manhattan providing you many photo opportunities as nightfall and the city lights up. You will be directed in how to get your shots no matter what’s the evening sky.  Learn a bit about the skyline of Lower Manhattan and the history that has connected Brooklyn and Manhattan for over 500 years as you hone your photographic skills.

Please note: You will need $4 for the ferry ride to Brooklyn!

Where: Meet your guides at Pier 11/Wall Street. The nearest MTA stops is Pine Street & William Street on the 2, 3 lines. The tour will end on the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge near City Hall.

 Grand Central Terminal Photography Tour 

In the center of Manhattan seats the most beautiful train terminal ever constructed in the City. Visitors and locals cross paths surrounded by unmatched beauty. Yet inside that 49 acres gem there are many secrets and hundreds of pictures. Many walk by these spectacular photo opportunities. This is why we are offering you this eyes opening experience to carefully explore, shoot and learn. Your licensed tour guide and professional photographer welcomes all levels of photography and all types of cameras (including smartphones) to make sure there's nothing stopping you from taking the best, most professional looking shots while on tour. You will have fun and improve your photography. Sights are from outside to inside the terminal (Chrysler Building, Main Concourse, GCT Market...). Don't forget to check out our regular Grand Central Terminal Tour.

The Grand Central Terminal Photography Tour takes place mostly inside and is a good choice for any weather.

Where: Grand Central Terminal Information Booth and Clock on the main concourse.  Your guide will be standing on the south end of the booth which is closest to the 42nd Street Exit closest to the big hanging American flag. Please use our Google map for directions to the tour start.

 New York Skyline Photography Tour 

Get your New York City Skyline pictures on our New York Skyline Photo Tour and explore Long Island City at the same time!

Long Island City has seen many changes throughout the centuries, from its early days as a vital center of transportation and manufacturing to its rebirth as a community for artists, as well as a destination for dining. Structures that stand as a testament to Long Island City’s rich history are juxtaposed against new development. The contrasts in this neighborhood of old and new, brick and glass, rough and refined, offer photographers -- amateur or professional -- a plethora of opportunities for dynamic compositions. The Long Island City waterfront offers spectacular vistas of the Midtown Manhattan skyline, including views of the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the United Nations, and more!

Where: Meet in the park in front of the Long Island City Courthouse, located at 25-10 Court Square in Long Island City, Queens, across the street from the Citi Tower. Take the 7, E, M, or G train to Court Square. Please use our Google map for directions to the tour start.

Cost: This tour is free to take, and you get to decide what, if anything, the tour was worth when it's done. A name-your-own-price tour is a tour for anyone's budget.
