Daytime high temperatures will tend to average 23-25 C (73-77 F) early in June, warming to 25-27 C (77-81 F) near the end of the month.

A few of the warmer afternoons, especially later in the month, can reach up near 31-32 C (88-90 F).

The record high temperature in Budapest during June is 39.5 C (103 F).

Late night and early morning lows tend to average 14-15 C (57-59 F) early in June, warming to 16-17 C (60-63 F) near the end of the month.

A few of the cooler mornings early in the month can dip down near 9-10 C (48-50 F). 

The record low temperature in Budapest during June is 3.0 C (37.4 F).


How Much Rain in June?

During June, you can expect about 11-13 mostly or at least partly sunny days with about 17-18 mostly cloudy days. 

Some rainfall can be expected on about 10 days this month, however, only 7-8 days will record at least 1 mm (0.04 inches).

The number of daylight hours ranges from 15.7 hours on the 1st to a maximum of just under 16 hours on the 21st.


Windspeed

Mostly light to gentle winds prevail this month at 6-19 kph (4-12 mph) but can briefly be moderate at 20-28 kph (13-18 mph)


What to Wear in Budapest in June?

Summer afternoons in Budapest are warm and summer attire works well.

However, nights and early morning hours can still be chilly so always bring a light jacket or windbreaker as well as some long sleeve tops and long pants.

Don’t forget to bring some comfortable walking shoes as in the old town the streets are cobbled and unsuitable for high-heels.


Things to Do in Budapest in June

Since the weather should be pretty nice this month, we recommend taking a pay-what-you-wish Budapest walking tour.

June is also the month of the Danube Carnival, an event with multiple musical and dance performances.

The Budapest Summer Festival typically begins later in the month, and you can expect plenty of great concerts, theatrical shows, and other events.

You might also want to spend some time at the Széchenyi Spa Baths, as there are more than 18 different pools both indoors and outdoors.
