Paris Walking Tours

There are generally 4 types of free walking tours in Paris, an intro to Paris overview tour, tours of the Latin Quarter, Montmartre, and Le Marais.

We let you know about your options, provide schedules, and explain what you will see on each tour.

A free walking tour is actually a pay-what-you-wish tour in which there is no set, upfront pricing.

After the walk with your tour guide is over, you can pay what you think the tour was worth.

These tours are usually entertaining and always budget-friendly.

Below is a calendar of some of the great free walking tours available in Paris. Click on the entry below to expand the listing for more details.

However, they tend to be a bit impersonal due to the large size of groups. If you prefer more interaction with your guide, we suggest more specialized themed-tours.

We have some great tour suggestions for the Montmartre neighborhood, Latin Quarter, a self-guided tour of Père Lachaise Cemetery, as well as the banks of the Seine.

The Île de la Cité and the Right Bank of the Seine hold many of the most famous landmarks in Paris, including the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Élysées, with great views of the Eiffel Tower.

If you are new to Paris, this should the first tour that you take. It will help you get a sense of the city centre and the general history of Paris.

These tours also give you a great overview of the biggest Parisian photo-ops.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, tour schedules may be limited.
