The Weather in Dublin in November

Late Autumn in Dublin tends to be cold with more cloudiness and rain, however, Dublin is still picturesque this season.


Average Temperatures

Daytime high temperatures will tend to be near 12 C (53-54 F) early in the month falling to 9-10C (49-50 F) by the end of this month.

A few of the warmer afternoons, especially early in the month can reach near 15 C (59 F).

The record high temperature in Dublin during November is 18 C (64.4 F). 

Late night and early morning low temperatures will be around 6-7 C (about 43-44 F) early in November, cooling to near 4-5 C (around 39-41 F) near the end of the month.

On average, about 3 of the colder mornings, especially near the end of the month, will dip down to 0 C (32 F) or less. 

The record low temperature in Dublin during November is -8.4 C (16.9 F).


Sun and Rain

During November, Dublin normally sees 11-12 sunny or at least partly sunny days.

On average, 17 days will record some precipitation, however, only about 4 of these will record rainfalls of 5 mm (0.2 inches) or more.

Snow can also occur this month with about 1 day, on average, recording 2.5 cm (1 inch) or more snowfall. 


Daylight

During November, daylight hours will decrease rapidly from about 9.5 hours on the 1st down to 7.9 hours on the 30th.


Windspeed

Wind speeds during November in Dublin range mostly from gentle at 8-12 mph/12-19 kph to moderate at 13-18 mph/20-28 kph but often can be fresh at 19–24 mph/29-38 kph.


Ocean Temperatures

Dublin lies along the western edge of the Irish Sea which during November is cold with temperatures falling from near 13 C (about 55 F) early in the month to near 11 C (about 52 F) by the end of the month. 


What to Wear in Dublin in November?

November in Dublin is cold so best to bring long-sleeve shirts, a few sweaters, warm socks, and water-resistant walking shoes or boots. 

In addition, jeans or other heavy trousers, along with a warm jacket or coat and some comfortable walking shoes or boots.


Things to Do in Dublin in November

There won't be many sunny days in Dublin this month, but if you're okay with walking in the rain, you might want to consider going on a pay-what-you-wish walking tour.

As usual, you can also expect plenty of theatrical performances, concerts, and sporting events to attend this month.

Given that the holidays are just around the corner, you can expect some of the Dublin Christmas markets to open up later in November, and there will probably be special lighting displays popping up all over the city.
