This is for our group policy for our name your own price public tours. This policy does not apply to private our ticketed tours where tickets are purchased in advance.
NAME YOUR OWN PRICE TOURS
Due to city regulations and guests' overall enjoyment, we aim to keep our groups relatively small. However, our tours are very popular, and we often have to turn away many interested guests.
We have found that groups have a higher-than-average no-show rate, which affects the dynamic of the tours.
In order to be fair to everyone, we require groups of of 6-9 people to prepay to join a public tour. Groups can always be accommodated on private tours.
The prepayment shows commitment to attending the tour and is used to reserve spots on our public tours for large groups.
This is considered a payment to the guide and includes a required booking fee in many cities.
It is refundable only if you contact us at least 48 hours before the tour's scheduled start time to cancel.
If the group fails to show or cancels with less than 48 hours notice of the tour start time, then the prepayment will also go to the tour guide for the spots held on the guide's tour.
When a group shows up for the tour, the pre-payment goes to the guide, no additional payment is expected though of course is welcome of the tour was better than expected.
OUR DEFINITION OF GROUP: includes multiple families travelling together, school, church, youth & MeetUp groups.
If one family has 5 people, and one family as 4 people but have chosen to take the same tour at the same time together, that is considered a group of 9. Please do not make separate reservations to avoid this policy. Your reservation will be canceled and you will not be accommodated at the tour start if you just show up.
- Groups of 6 and more that reserve by making multiple bookings to avoid prepaying will be cancelled. This includes families and friends travelling together on the same tour.
- Verbal harassment of our tour guides because we cannot accommodate you when you ignored our group policy will not be tolerated.
