Late night and early morning low temperatures tend to be in the upper 30s F (2-3C) but warm up to the mid-40s F (6-8C) near the end of the month.
On average about 8-9 days see temperatures dipping to 32F/0C or less.
Wind speeds during March tend to be light, averaging mostly 4-12 mph (6-19 kph) but occasionally can be moderate at 13-18 mph (20-28 kph) with higher gusts.
About 15-16 days will be cloudy or mostly cloudy during March. However, an equal number of days will be sunny or at least partly sunny offering a good opportunity to explore this great city.
Expect about 11 days this month with some precipitation. Only about 2-3 days will record ½ inch (about 13 mm) or more.
Snow is relatively rare this month, falling only on two out of three years. Snowfalls of 1 inch or more occur only about once every 3 years.
March brings a mix of late winter and early spring weather so it requires clothes suitable for both winter and spring conditions.
