The weather in Los Angeles tends to be dry but comfortable during October.

Daytime high temperatures tend to be in the low 80s F (27-28 C) early in the month falling into the mid-70s F (24-25 C) near the end of the month.

About 3 days, on average, early in the month usually reach up into the lower 90s F (33-34 C) with 100 F (about 38 C) or higher temperatures occurring about once every 5 years.

The record high temperature reported in Los Angeles during October is 108 F (42.2 C).

Late night and early morning low temperatures tend to be in the lower 60s F (16-17 C) early in October falling into the mid to upper 50s F (13-14 C) near month’s end.

A few of the cooler mornings later in the month often fall into the lower 50s F (10-11 C).

The record low temperature in Los Angeles during October is 41 F (5.0 C).

Skies generally are clear or at least partly sunny on 23-25 days during October with measurable rainfall occurring only on 2-3 days.

Significant rainfalls of 0.5 inches (about 13 mm) or more occur only about once every 2 years.

Humidity levels during October tend to be dry to comfortable, however, a couple of humid days are likely early in the month.

Daylight hours continue to decrease this month falling from just under 12 hours early in the month to less than 11 hours near the end of the month.

The weather during October tends to be comfortable to warm with a few cooler days.

A mix of both summer and fall attire will likely be required this month.

You will need to bring along a sweater and a windbreaker for those few cooler evenings and mornings, especially near the end of the month.
