May is one of the best months of the year to visit Los Angeles and explore this great city outdoors as the weather features warm temperatures with comfortable humidity levels.
Daytime high temperatures average in the mid-70s F (23-24 C) with a few of the warmer afternoons reaching into the mid-80s F (28-29 C).
Temperatures reach 90 F (32 C) or more only on average, once during this month.
The all-time hottest temperature recorded in Los Angeles during May was 102 F (38.9 C).

Late night and early morning low temperatures tend to be in the mid to upper-50s F (13-14 C) early in May and near 60 F (15-16 C) near the end of the month.
A few of the cooler mornings will see temperatures dipping down into the low-50s F (11-12 C).
The all-time coldest temperature recorded in Los Angeles during May was 43 F (6.1 C).
HOW MUCH SUN AND RAIN?
Skies will be either sunny or at least partly sunny on about 19 days this month with measurable rainfall limited to 1 day out of the month.
Heavier rains of at least 0.5 inches (13 mm) occur only once every five years.

Daylight hours increase from about 13.5 hours early in the month to over 14 hours near the end of the month.

The weather during May is generally warm and dry so summer attire will due for most days.
