The month of April in Rome is a month that feels like spring with generally chilly evenings and mornings but with more comfortable afternoons, especially during the second half of the month.

HOW HOT IS ROME IN APRIL?

Daytime high temperatures tend to be 16 C-17 C (in the lower 60s F) early in the month warming into the mid to 19 C-21 C (upper 60s F) near the end of the month. 

A few of the warmer afternoons, especially near the end of the month, can reach up to 21 C-22 C (the low-70s F).

Late night and early morning low temperatures tend to be around 7 C-8 C (the mid-40s F) early in April warming to near 9 C-10 C (50 F) towards the end of the month. 

A few of the colder mornings, however, can dip down to near 4 C-5 C (40 F) early in the month.

WHAT TO WEAR IN ROME IN APRIL

The weather in Rome during April is more spring-like but can still have a few chilly days.

Spring attire includes long skirts, long pants, or jeans. We've listed some essentials to pack below:


1. Windbreaker

There will be a number of warmer days in April, so you will need cotton shirts with a light jacket or windbreaker for those days.

There won't be a lot of rain in April, but you don't want to be unprepared in case you are out on those days.
