DC History Speaker's Bureau

Find a Speaker for Your Event!

You don't have to take a walking tour to enjoy the humor and knowledge our guides have to offer - we can come to you! Guide talks bring the history and the sites to life in an indoor setting.

We offer unique presentations that are great for:

  • Conferences, Historical Organizations, and Heritage Groups
  • Book Clubs
  • Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties
  • Groups that have no interest in walking outside

We also have Trivia Nights prepared with local DC history or general American history themes, great for corporate mixers!

Our guides are historians, many with advanced degrees in history, education and museum studies.

We have published authors (check out Canden's books on DC history!) and our guides have been featured on national news outlets, in major print magazines, as well as on the Discovery Channel & Travel Channel talking about DC history.

We have the knowledge and experience to customize any presentation to suit your event.

HISTORY TALKS & PRESENTATION DETAILS

If you have a room, we can provide the stories. You just need to drink, eat and listen. Don't know where to go? We can help. We have contacts with local venues and bars to arrange a place to go.

With advance notice, we can bring along a photo PowerPoint presentation to complement the talk.

  • TOPICS

Any of our walking tours can be formatted into a talk. Check out what tours we offer on our Private Tour Summary page.

  • LENGTH

We can customize this from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours - much longer is available but probably not as enjoyable.

  • COST

Just like our private walking tours, the rate varies based on individual needs.
