One of the best things to do in NYC during the holiday season is to visit the city's Christmas markets.
At the Columbus Circle Holiday Market, you'll find lots of lovely artisan crafts, food and hot drinks to warm you up, and loads of holiday spirit!
While smaller than other markets, it's still worth a visit, especially if you are exploring nearby Central Park.
When And Where
Columbus Circle Holiday Market will run from November 28th to December 31st, 2023 (closed Christmas Day).
The market hours are: Monday to Saturday 11 am to 8 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm. It closes at 4 pm on Christmas Eve.
Our pay-what-you-wish Central Park Tours start near the market so consider combining a tour with some shopping before or after!
You can also go ice-skating in Central Park at Wollman Rink just a block away!
The market stalls are filled with jewelry, bath and body goods, tiffany-style hanging lanterns, wood carvings, and other unusual goodies.
There's a nice assortment of unique items, like these soap bars with different scents reminiscent of the cities for which they are named.
There are plenty of holiday goods like these Christmas stockings and tree ornaments.
For butterfly lovers, these frames with pressed butterflies will delight you.
Seasonal clothes, especially for the kiddies, are popular among the stalls.
You can pop into adjacent Columbus Circle Time Warner Center for shopping at familiar stores and more dining options.
You'll find a small selection of food vendors, but they are very good!
The popular Wafels and Dinges has a food truck selling artisan Belgian waffles with a choice of different toppings.
There are some other food options like these Italian Tuscan gourmet sandwiches and Bomboloni (Italian Donuts).
You can warm yourselves with hot cider, hot chocolate, and Glühwein, a German recipe of mulled wine spiced with cinnamon and sugar.
