This Harlem Renaissance and Gospel Music Tour is an hour and a half neighborhood walking tour with an optional 1 hour musical performance.

Relive the Harlem Renaissance, feel the heat of the civil rights movement, absorb the moans of the slave ship, hear the sounds of a gospel choir, indulge in the blues, clap your hands and stomp your feet to the rhythm and the rhymes of a hip hop beat.  

You will be transported to the beautiful sanctuary of Abyssinian Baptist Church as well as to the famous stage of the Apollo Theater, the ballroom of Smalls Paradise. along with the hustle and bustle of Lenox Ave, Adam Clayton Powell Blvd, Frederick Douglas Blvd all along the lines of the 125th Street also known as The Times Square of Harlem.

This  musical journey performed live in a climate controlled setting covers a century of music and just 1 hour.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This tour is currently running as a public option only on Wednesdays at 10am. The music performance is not a church service, although the setting is in a church. The performance follows the tour on Wednesdays at 12pm.
