I've been taking advantage of Restaurant Week for more than 25 years, and it's one of my favorite times to eat in New York.
I've enjoyed meals that normally cost over $100 for less than half the price, discovered incredible restaurants I never would have visited otherwise, and found new neighborhood favorites throughout the city.

What Is NYC Restaurant Week?
Held twice each year—in summer and winter—NYC Restaurant Week allows diners to enjoy specially priced lunch, brunch, and dinner menus at hundreds of participating restaurants throughout the five boroughs.
Restaurants choose whether to offer lunch, dinner, brunch, or a combination of all three. This summer's prix-fixe menus are priced at $30, $45, or $60 per person (excluding drinks, tax, and gratuity).
Summer Restaurant Week: July 20 – August 16, 2026
Reservations Open: July 14
Despite its name, Restaurant Week actually lasts nearly a month, giving you plenty of opportunities to dine at restaurants that are normally difficult to reserve.
Considering that many entrées at these restaurants normally cost as much as an entire Restaurant Week meal, it's one of the best dining bargains you'll find in New York City.

Local Tips for Getting the Best Reservations
Restaurant Week is extremely popular, so planning ahead can make all the difference.
Before Reservations Open
- Browse participating restaurants as soon as they're announced.
- Read each prix-fixe menu carefully—not every restaurant offers every meal.
- Create a shortlist of several restaurants in case your first choice fills up.
- Book as soon as reservations become available.
- Consider weekday lunches, which are often easier to reserve than weekend dinners.
During Restaurant Week
- If your preferred restaurant is fully booked, call directly to ask about cancellations.
- Be sure to request the Restaurant Week menu when you arrive.
- Tip generously if you receive excellent service.
- Don't forget to snap photos—these meals are as beautiful as they are delicious.
EXTRA SAVINGS: If you pre-register your eligible Mastercard, you can earn a $10 statement credit when you spend $45 or more on dine-in meals at participating restaurants
Which Restaurants Participate?
More than 300 restaurants across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island participate each season.
You'll find everything from Michelin-starred dining rooms and celebrity chef restaurants to historic New York institutions and neighborhood gems serving Italian, French, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Mexican, American, and many other cuisines.
New restaurants join every season, making Restaurant Week a great excuse to explore parts of the city you've never visited before.
