Updated: April 23, 2024

This post summarizes the July weather in Lisbon, with tips on what to wear, as well as things to do.

As local tour guides, we know that July is one of the best times for walking tours, because there's usually a lot of great, sunny weather.

And I am not just a tour guide. I'm also a retired meteorologist who has found a new way to put my experiences to work.

July in Lisbon is very warm and dry but with comfortable nights. You can expect about 3-4 days to feel humid.

What to Wear in Lisbon in July

Lightweight and comfortable summer attire like jeans, tees, and denim cutoffs work well in Lisbon during this month.

A few nights and early mornings can still be a bit chilly so also bring along a light sweater or windbreaker.

Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen, as well as a good pair of walking shoes.

Things to Do in Lisbon in July

With several sunny days to enjoy in July, this would be an excellent time to consider taking a pay-what-you-wish Lisbon walking tour.

If you're looking for family-friendly fun, consider taking the kids to the Lisbon Zoo.

Alternatively, if your children are more interested in marine animals, the Oceanarium is another excellent location to visit in the summer.

Since the weather will be clear on most days, this is also a great time to visit the Pilar7 Bridge Experience. There's an observation deck at the top which provides the best views in the city!
