WHAT IS THE DEAL?
Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, has special viewing areas designed to give passersby an opportunity to watch a few innings of every home game.
These viewing locations are maintained by park security, who ensure that visitors don’t stay for the entire game.

They also do their best to keep people moving along so that everyone who stops by gets a chance to see some of the game.
Visitors are typically allowed to stay for a maximum of 3 innings.
WHERE IS THE VIEWING POINT?
Each of the free viewing areas at Oracle Park is located along McCovey Cove, right off of the Promenade which borders with the water.

If you’re at Willie Mays Plaza in front of the home plate entrance, walk toward the cove on 3rd street and turn left onto the Promenade.
The McCovey Cove Promenade is actually part of the San Francisco Bay Trail, so you can include this activity during a trip around the city.
The easiest way to reach Oracle Park is by taking the streetcar to King Street & 2nd Street. This stop is serviced by the E, N, and KT lines.

This stadium is a streetcar ride away from neighborhoods such as Fisherman’s Wharf and Chinatown, which both have a lot of fun and interesting attractions to see.
If you’re looking for something to do either before or after the game, consider taking either our Fisherman’s Wharf walking tour or our Chinatown walking tour.
TIPS FOR SECURING A SPOT
If you want to enjoy this opportunity, you’ll need to get in line on the day of the game and prepare to wait a bit.

Depending on how many people line up, it may be necessary to arrive early to avoid missing out.
This is standing room only, so you should be prepared to stand for at least 1-2 hours while you’re here.
AFFORDABLE GAME TICKETS
