Which Barcelona Bus Tour Is Best?

The following section will focus on each of the hop-on-hop-off bus tours in Barcelona.

These services will take you to all of the most notable sites in the city, allowing you to jump off and explore the area at your own leisure.

City Sightseeing Barcelona

City Sightseeing is an international company and you’ll find their buses in many major cities.

In Barcelona, the Hop on Hop Off Barcelona Bus tour includes three routes, and 39 stops, and is available in 16 languages!

Tickets are valid for 3 months, so you can use them anytime within that time frame.

This bus tour is included with several Barcelona tourist passes and customers who purchase a ticket for the tour will also receive more than €250 in additional discounts at various attractions, stores, and restaurants.

Buses run from 9:00 - 20:00 (9 am - 8 pm) each day and they make stops at each location once every 15-25 minutes.

Tickets can either be printed or you can use your mobile phone as your ticket!


Bus Routes

There are three routes available on the City Sightseeing Barcelona hop-on-hop-off bus tour.

Red Line

This is the main route, and it includes several popular destinations such as Plaça de Catalunya, Plaça d’Espanya, the World Trade Center, Anella Olímpica, Caixa Fòrum, and even the Zoo!

Blue Line

This route will take you to the Northern end of Barcelona to see sites like Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Futbol Club Barcelona, Monestir de Pedralbes, and more.

Green Line

Unlike the other routes, this one is only available from April 12th - November 3rd. Visit sites like Port Olímpic, Fòrum, Parc Diagonal Mar, Platja del Bogatell – Cementiri del Poblenou, and Poblenou.

Barcelona City Tour

Unlike its competitors, Barcelona City Tour offers only two routes.

That said, their routes cover a lot of ground, including some sites that other services only offer seasonally.

There are a total of 34 stops spread across both routes, and the tour is available in 15 different languages.

Barcelona City Tour also offers free wifi on their buses and discounts at various establishments across the city.


Ticket Prices

  • 1-Day Ticket: €30/Adults | €16/Kids | €25/Seniors
  • 2-Day Ticket: €40/Adults | €21/Kids | €35/Seniors

Buses run from 9:00 - 19:00 (9 am - 7 pm) for the West route and from 9:00 - 20:00 (9 am - 8 pm) for the East route. Stops are made every 15-25 minutes.

This tour is included with the Barcelona iVenture City Pass and there is an app you can use to find out where you are in real time.


Bus Routes

There are two routes available on the hop-on-hop-off Barcelona City Tour.

West Route

As the name implies, this route covers a variety of popular locations on the Western side of the city.

Stops include Plaça Catalunya, Arc de Triomf, the World Trade Center, Camp Nou, Plaça d’Espanya, Estació de Sants and more.

East Route

This route covers the Eastern side of Barcelona, and it includes a lot of notable sites like Sagrada Família, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, Port Olímpic, and more.

During the winter, stops at Platja del Bogatell, La Nova Mar Bella and the Fòrum will be replaced by the Zoo - Poble Nou, Teatre Nacional - Auditori, and Glòries - Torre Agbar.

NIGHTTIME BUS TOURS

This bus tour runs on Thursday and Saturday from 20:00 - 22:30 (8 pm - 10:30 pm). 

Note: This tour runs seasonally from May to October.

This bus tour will begin at Plaça Catalunya and you’ll find the tour group by looking for their bright orange umbrellas.

Barcelona Party Nights
