July in Las Vegas is very hot and dry, however, a slight increase in humidity later this month. 


How Hot is Las Vegas in July?

Afternoon high temperatures are very hot throughout this month, averaging 104-106 F (40-41 C) with a few of the hotter days reaching nearly 110F (43 C). 

The record high temperature for Las Vegas during July is 117 F (47.2 C).

Late night and early morning lows tend to be warm, mostly 78-81 F (25-27 C) with a few of the nicer mornings dipping down near 71 F (22C). 

The record low temperature for July in Las Vegas is 60 F (15.6 C).


Sun and Rain

Las Vegas in July offers lots of sun with little rain risk. Expect, on average, about 20 sunny, 7 partly sunny, and only 3 cloudy days.

Rain is sparse, with measurable rainfall occurring only on 3 days, on average, with rainfalls of 0.5 inches (13 mm) or more occurring only about once every 5 years.

What rain that does fall, is more likely to occur later in the month.  


Daylight

The number of daylight hours decreases gradually this month from about 14.6 hours on the 1st to 14 hours on the 31st.


Windspeed

The wind in Las Vegas this month is mostly light to gentle, averaging 4-12 mph (6-19 kph) but occasionally can be moderate at 13-18 mph (20-28 kph).


What to Wear in Las Vegas in July

Summer in Las Vegas can be very hot with a large range in temperature between the mild early morning hours and the very hot mid-afternoons. 

Light summer attire is recommended such as shorts, sandals, skirts, T-shirts, sundresses, and tank tops but keep in mind there are specific dress codes for casinos, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs.

Don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, and a good pair of walking shoes. 


Things to Do in Las Vegas in July

At this point in the season, it will probably be a bit too hot outside for a pay-what-you-wish walking tour of Las Vegas, but some visitors might still enjoy this activity.

If you're looking for more indoor activities, there will be plenty of great concerts to attend throughout the month.

You may also want to consider looking into theatrical shows such as Cirque du Soleil.

Alternatively, there are a lot of famous magicians who perform in Las Vegas year-round, and you'll probably have plenty of opportunities to see well-known performers like Criss Angel and David Copperfield.

This city also tends to attract a lot of well-known comedians throughout the year, and some comics like Carrot Top and Terry Fator have permanent residences in Las Vegas.
