How is the Weather in Las Vegas in June?

June in Las Vegas brings very dry weather, hot afternoons but with comfortable to warm nights. 


Temperatures

Afternoon high temperatures during June will increase from about 94-98 F (34-37 C) early in June to around 102-104 F (39-40 C) near the end of the month. 

A few of the hotter afternoons can reach up to near 110 F (43 C), especially near the end of the month. 

You should expect about 27 days this month with highs at or above 90 F (32 C) and about 18-19 days reaching 100 F (38 C) or more.

The record high temperature for June in Las Vegas is 117 F (47.2 C).

Late night and early morning low temperatures are generally comfortable to warm, averaging near 70 F (21 C) early in June but more likely near 76-78 F (23-26 C) by the month’s end. 

A few of the cooler mornings, early in June, can sometimes dip down near 61 F (16 C). 

The record low temperature during June in Las Vegas is 48 F (8.9 C).   


Sun and Rain

During June, Las Vegas will normally see 22 sunny, 5 partly sunny and 3 cloudy days.

June is very dry with measurable rainfall falling only on about 1 day every 2 years. 


Daylight 

The number of daylight hours increases from just under 14.5 hours on June 1st to a peak of just over 14.6 hours on the 21st.


Windspeed

The wind in Las Vegas this month is mostly light to gentle, averaging 4-12 mph (6-19 kph) but occasionally can be moderate at 13-18 mph (20-28 kph).


What to Wear in Las Vegas During June?

Summer in Las Vegas can be very hot but there still is a large range between the cooler early morning hours and the very hot mid-afternoons. 

Light summer attire is recommended such as shorts, sandals, skirts, T-shirts, sundresses, and tank tops but keep in mind there are specific dress codes for casinos, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. 

Don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, and a good pair of walking shoes. 


Things to Do in Las Vegas During June

Although there will be plenty of sunny days in Las Vegas during the month of June, it will also be very hot during the day.

Even so, you might want to consider taking a free walking tour while you're here!

Needless to say, you can also look forward to plenty of fun and interesting concerts, sporting events, magic shows, comedy shows and more.

If you're visiting during the beginning of the month, consider heading to the First Friday Festival in the Downtown Arts District.
