New Orleans Segway Tour

OVERVIEW

There are currently two companies offering offering segway tours in New Orleans: Nation Tours and Great American Days experience.

Each of their outings runs for between 1 ½ - 3 hours on average.

Ticket prices range from $50 - $75 and each tour includes a 30-minute orientation session with video and practice area to introduce you and make sure you’re comfortable before heading out.

Although this can be a fun and unique way to experience the city, it’s important to note that some visitors won’t be able to go on this tour. All segway riders must adhere to the following criteria:

  • Must be 14 years of age or older.
  • Must be between the weight of 100 lbs - 275 lbs. 
  • For safety reasons, pregnant riders are not allowed.

NATION TOURS

If you’re looking for a slightly more affordable option, this company offers a very similar service which covers many of the same historic locations in New Orleans.

The main difference between the two companies is that Nation Tours limits the length of their outings to 1 ½ - 2 hours.

That said, you can expect to see neighborhoods such as the French Quarter, Canal Street, Bourbon Street, and landmarks such as the St. Louis Cathedral.

Each tour covers a variety of notable sites in New Orleans, including the French Quarter, Mississippi River front, Treme, Louis Armstrong Park, Congo Square, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, the Old U.S. Mint and more.
