I took a Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO sightseeing tour with Renee from Tours by Foot, and she was absolutely incredible. As a New Yorker, I’m always curious to learn more about my own city, and I feel like I hit the jackpot with Renee as my guide. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and full of fascinating history and stories. In one fantastic walk over the bridge, I learned far more than I expected to in just a few hours. I highly recommend Renee to anyone looking for a memorable, informative, and enjoyable sightseeing experience.

We took this tour through Brooklyn and it was amazing! Even though I knew the neighborhood I had no idea of the amount of history and fun facts I’ve learned. I’ll take more of these tours when I return to NYC. Renee was a delight and so knowledgeable!

An absolutely wonderful tour! Meredith was so informative and patient with our group as we asked lots of questions and took a LOT of pictures! Meredith brought the neighborhood to life with stories about its history, architecture, and hidden gems that we never would have found on our own. Highly recommended to anyone visiting NYC. You’ll leave with amazing photos, fun facts, and a whole new appreciation for one of Brooklyn’s most iconic neighborhoods!

Highly recommend these fantastic tours! I took 4 of them during a recent stay in Brooklyn. I went with Onel on the Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights tour on a Sunday. Jon was my guide to Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown one day, and on the Food Tour of the Lower East Side on a Saturday. Then Kassi took us through the East Village, Chelsea and the HighLine. All the guides were fantastic, highly knowledgeable, interesting and fun! Do yourself a favor and see Brooklyn with Onel - nothing like seeing Brooklyn with a proud Brooklynite! Onel, I took the Easter River ferry back up to Greenpoint, it’s the best way to go home! (Go with Onel on Sunday, it’s the best day.) Loved Jon with his color-coordinated hoodies and baseball caps – Jon, I’ll never look at another crazy person in the street again, I’ll only look at you! 😄 Jon takes the best group photos as well, and the food was delicious on the food tour. Kassi, thanks for a lovely stroll around the East Village, Chelsea and Chelsea Market and the HighLine. I can see why you stayed in New York - you’re the quintessential New Yorker! What a fun day it was. Folks, evidently there’s some movement afoot to push people towards taking paid walking tours. Resist this and sign up with Free Walking Tours by Foot/NYC - you’ll have a wonderful time. Whatever you tip your guide at the end of the tour will be graciously received and well worth whatever you decide to give them. Support this wonderful New York institution - and you’re welcome…

I took the 'Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights & DUMBO' tour and my guide was Merdith. She was super friendly, knowledgeable and took her time. You could tell that Meridith enjoys her time talking about NY and she clearly enjoys showing people her home town. Lovely and enjoyable tour. Thanks! I would definitely recommend 'Tours on foot' to others.

Had Michael as a guide and honestly he was the best. He explained everything really good and even made couple of jokes while telling us about the history and the architecture of some of the NYC Skysrcapers, the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn. The route he chose gave us the best views possible and we had the chance stops for photos every now and then. Can highly recommend this tour for everyone visiting New York, will definitely have a look at their other tours. Thank you Michael, see you next time.
