Hidden beneath the layer of malls and street vendors along Hollywood Boulevard lie reminders of a crime-filled bygone era. As the film industry in Hollywood was getting its start in the early 20th century, new filmmakers found themselves caught up in a lawless world of vice and murder. By the 1930s, it got so bad the US Government almost shut the entire industry down.

On this tour, we will learn the stories that started Hollywood’s reputation of a city of sin. We will visit the secret spots of Old Hollywood along the Hollywood Strip that still remain, hiding in plain sight.

The two-hour tour will feature stories and mysteries of:

  • Who were the suspects in the still-unsolved murder of silent film director William Desmond Taylor,
  • What drove actress Peg Entwistle to kill herself in the most dramatic of ways -- a leap off the Hollywood Sign,
  • Where the Black Dahlia had her final drink before her murder,
  • And much, much more…
