On this tour, you will learn how the history of the nation’s events from Roman and Norman times to the modern day, have met with an inspired response from the people of Cardiff who have a unique perspective and sense passion for their home. From medieval times Cardiff moved into its golden era during the Victorian times and its enterprising spirit has seen it welcome people from all over the world to live, work and pioneer new ideas and successes. 

The beauty of Victorian architecture reflects its glory days and on our tour, you will also see how the city is still at the forefront of innovation; championing independent shops, markets and cafes long before it became trendy! On this all in one walking tour of Cardiff City Centre, discover landmarks, buildings, statues and characters from these 2,000 years of Cardiff's rich history.

What to expect during the tour:

- Post War building and developments: We will see the St David's Centre and how Cardiff City Centre has been transformed into a modern shopping centre.

- Known as the city of arcades, many of the old Victorian Arcades still survive today, these house many boutiques and independent stores, which pits Cardiff streets ahead with its rivals giving you the opportunity to discover something new.

- The History of the Ducking Stool on the River Taff.

- See some of the remains of the old Roman walls, incorporated into the castle walls,

- Explore the early remains on the Blackfriar's Priory.

- Hear about the Welsh Culture and the language.

- See the market, which has been there for years, along with the areas formally used for execution.

- Hear about the notable Welsh Food and delicacies.
