The month of April in Berlin is a month that offers changeable spring weather and tends to be cool and sometimes wet.
HOW WARM OR COLD WILL IT BE?
March in Berlin tends to be somewhat cold, however, temperatures do start to warm and the weather dries out a bit near the month’s end.
Early in March, you will most likely experience morning lows at about 1 C (mid-30s F) with a few of the colder mornings dropping down to -4 C (25F) or below.
Afternoon temperatures early in March will most likely be at about 7 C (mid-40s F).
As the month ends, morning temperatures will normally be in the 3-4C (upper 30s F) while the afternoons are more likely to see the 12-13 C (mid-50s F).
A few of the warmer afternoons towards the end of March could get up to about 15-17C (low to mid-60s F).
Temperature extremes in March have been as low as -10 C (14 F) to as warm as 21 C (70F).
HOW MUCH RAIN OR SUN?
Skies tend to be mostly cloudy this month with about 17 days reporting some precipitation with about 8 of these also reporting some snow.
The risk for snow on any given day is about 20% at the beginning of March but only 6% by the month's end.
WHAT TO WEAR IN BERLIN IN MARCH
Winter gear, including warm coats, gloves, and hats is still needed along with an umbrella and other rain gear for the wetter days including the risk of snow.
Towards the end of the month, however, a medium-weight coat or jacket may suffice, especially on the warmer afternoons.
Don't forget to bring some good walking shoes.
