Early in February, overnight and early morning low temperatures tend to be in the low to mid-20s F (-5 C) warming to the upper 20s F (-2 C) towards the end of the month.
A few of the colder mornings, however, will dip down into the 10-15 F (-9 to -12 C) range.
At night, the thermometer dips to 32 F (0 C) or below on about 23 days.
The all-time record low temperature for Boston in February was -18 F (-27.8 C) in 1934.
Daytime high temperatures tend to average in the mid-30s F (2-3 C) early in the month but warm up into the low 40s F (5 C) by the end of the month.
A few of the warmer afternoons in February can reach up into the low to mid-50s F (11-13 C).
The all-time record high temperature in Boston during February was 73 F (22.8 C) in 2017.
