September is the first month of autumn in Berlin. Daytime temperatures are still comfortable but can get a bit cool later in the month.

Afternoon high temperatures tend to be near 20-22 C (68-71 F) early in September but cool down to 17-18 C (63-66 F) near the end of this month.
A few of the warmer afternoons, especially early in the month, can reach up near 27 C (81 F).
The record high temperature in Berlin during September is 34.2 C (93.6 F).

Late night and early morning low temperatures will be around 11-13 C (52-55 F) early in September, falling to 9-10 C (48-50 F) near the end of the month.
A few of the chillier mornings, especially later in the month, can dip down to near 5 C (41 F).
The record low temperature in Berlin during September is -1.5 C (29.3 F).

Sun and Rain
During September you can expect about 11 mostly sunny, 4 partly sunny, and 15 mostly cloudy days.
Some rainfall occurs on about 17 days, however, only 6 days record at least 1 mm (0.04 inches) of rain or more.

Daylight
The number of daylight hours decreases rapidly this month from about 13.6 hours on the 1st to about 11.7 hours by the 30th.
Windspeed
The wind tends to be light to gentle this month at 6-19 kph (4-12 mph), but occasionally will be moderate at 20-28 kph (13-18 mph).
What to Wear in Berlin in September?
The weather starts to turn cool this month, so it is time to break out your autumn attire.
This can include long sleeved shirts, some jeans, a denim jacket, windbreaker, or a light coat for the cooler days.
Don’t forget a couple pairs of good walking shoes and at least one umbrella for those rainy days.
Things to Do in Berlin in September
Although it will be a bit cooler this month than it was during the summer, there won't be too much rain, so you might want to consider going on a pay-what-you-wish walking tour in Berlin.
September marks the beginning of Oktoberfest, so there will definitely be plenty of food stalls, games, rides, and other fun activities to enjoy.
This is also the month of the BMW Berlin Marathon, and even if you don't plan on participating, you can always cheer on the people who will be in the race!
