Hotels in Covent Garden

Updated: April 27, 2024

This article will help you choose a hotel in Covent Garden, a wonderful area of Central London.

Covent Garden sits on the border of Soho, Bloomsbury, and Holborn. It’s in the borough of Camden, known as the West End (along with Soho).

The area is famous for theatre, musicals, shopping, and dining, and it’s also a popular place for a night out!

For the purpose of this article, we are a little bit liberal with the borders of Covent Garden.

That said, you will never be more than a 10-minute walk from the central Covent Garden Market Halls and London Underground Station.

In this post, we list budget, moderate, and luxury hotels, along with the average room prices, based on the lowest available rate.

Why trust our advice?

As London tour guides, we have a lot of experience with hotels – we stay in them ourselves and hear from our guests.

We also learn a lot about Covent Garden hotels from our London Travel Tips Facebook Group, with more than 50K members and growing every day!

Their posts help us understand where to stay in Covent Garden and the best hotels in Covent Garden for all budgets.

They give us all kinds of tips and tricks, and that’s why we like to return the favour!

Overview

In this post, we’ve checked out dozens of Covent Garden hotels and broken them down into four different price categories:

  • Budget (under £100 per night)
  • Lower Mid-Range (£100 - £200 per night)
  • Upper Mid-Range (£200 - £300 per night)
  • Luxury (£300 and higher)

The prices listed are based on the cost of the least expensive room available for two people, which is typically a Double or Queen room.

We have only showcased hotels with an average guest rating of 7/10 or higher.

We looked at prices from three times of year (Low Season, Shoulder Season, and High Season), using the average per night for a Thursday – Sunday stay.

If you look at Sunday – Wednesday, you will find slightly lower rates.

Here is how we define these seasons in London and for Covent Garden hotel prices:

  • Mid-January - Low Season
  • Mid-October - Shoulder Season
  • Mid-June - High Season

Remember, prices for major holidays, such as Christmas, New Year's Eve, and bank holidays (in May and August), are sky-high.

Big events like London Pride and the London Marathon can also affect prices.

Breakfast is not usually included at these prices (because we’ve listed the lowest Covent Garden hotel prices)!

Do note that these rates are usually non-refundable.
