Our tour utilizes your feet and the New York City Subway to transport you from the Financial District (the birthplace of New York) through Wall St and the World Trade Center and then on to Greenwich Village, SoHo, Chinatown, Little Italy, Chelsea Market, and the High Line Park.

We do not visit Midtown Manhattan or Central Park on this tour, but we offer tours of both those areas you can take on other days!

Sites we cover on the New York City One-Day Tour:

  • Starting in the Financial District, visitors can walk along Wall Street, the financial heart of the United States, where the grandiose New York Stock Exchange building stands as a symbol of global commerce.

  • Nearby, Trinity Church provides a surprising touch of tranquility, its historic architecture and lush churchyard offering a moment of calm amid the bustling district.
  • A short stroll away is the World Trade Center complex, home to the poignant 9/11 Memorial and Museum, which honors the lives lost during the September 11 attacks. Two reflecting pools mark the footprints of the original Twin Towers, creating a solemn and reflective environment.

  • Take in the grandeur of the nearby Woolworth Building, a masterpiece of neo-Gothic architecture and one of the oldest skyscrapers in the city.

  • Visit Greenwich Village, a bohemian neighborhood filled with cafes, art galleries, and charming townhouses.

  • At its heart lies Washington Square Park, with its iconic arch and lively atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for street performers and relaxing under the trees.

  • We'll stop for lunch (not included) in Greenwich Village - your guide will recommend different places to try in the area! Greenwich Village is known for its food and small local restaurants and cafes - you can try some NYC pizza, Middle Eastern falafels, or a famous NYC bagel smeared with cream cheese. These affordable stops give you the best deal for a quick lunch stop.

  • Linger in Little Italy, where the smells of authentic Italian cuisine and quaint streets transport you to another era. Nearby, Chinatown delights with its bustling streets, colorful markets, and a plethora of delicious dumplings and dim sum spots.

  • Venture into SoHo's Cast Iron District, renowned for its striking cast-iron buildings and an abundance of upscale boutiques, art galleries, and trendy restaurants.

  • Hop onto High Line Park, an elevated urban oasis built on a historic freight rail line. Walking along this scenic pathway, visitors enjoy stunning views of the city, public art installations, and lush greenery in the midst of Manhattan.

NOTE: We do not visit Midtown Manhattan or Central Park on this tour, but we offer amazing tours of each of these areas you can take on another day!

TOUR INFORMATION:

  • Tour meets at 26 Wall Street, near the corner of Broad Street, in front of Federal Hall (map). The guide will be near Federal Hall's George Washington Statue. ***Note: There are several George Washington statues in NYC. You want to meet the group at the statue on Wall Street. 
  • The tour ends at High Line near 15th St and 10th Avem outside the Chelsea market. 
  • Please note that we use the subway twice on this tour. Metrocards for these trips are included in your ticket!

  • Tour is 6 hours, with a break for lunch (food not included).

  • This tour utilizes subway stations that do not have elevators. Therefore, we cannot accommodate this tour for those with walking issues, small children or strollers.
