How Hot Is Dubai in December?
Daytime high temperatures this month will tend to be around 27 C (80-81 F) early in the month, falling to around 24-25 C (75-77 F) near the end of the month.
A few of the warmer afternoons, especially early in December, can reach up to 30 C (86 F).
The record high temperature in Dubai during December is 32.5 C (90.5 F).
Late night and early morning low temperatures tend to be around 17-18 C (63-64 F) early in the month, dropping to 15 C (59 F) near the end of the month.
A few of the colder mornings, especially later in the month, can dip down around 12 C (53-54 F).
The record low temperature for Dubai during December is 8.2 °C (46.8 °F).
Sun and Rain
During December, Dubai features, on average, about 22 mostly sunny, 2-3 partly sunny and 6-7 mostly cloudy days.
You can also expect blowing dust/sand to occur on about 3 days with some rain falling on 3-4 days, however, rain amounts tend to be light.
Daylight
The number of daylight hours remains about the same this month, ranging from 10.7 hours on the 1st to 10.6 hours on the 22nd.
Windspeed
Wind speeds during this month tend to be light to gentle, averaging 6-19 kph (4-12 mph) but briefly can be moderate at 20-28 kph (13-18 mph).
Ocean Temperatures
December is a good time for the beach as water temperatures are still warm, averaging near 27 C (81 F) early in the month, but falling to near 24 C (75 F) near the end of the month.
What to Wear in Dubai in December
Dress for pleasantly warm weather during the day but wear clothing that covers your shoulders and your knees.
Do not wear clothes that are too tight or too revealing for both men and women.
Women can wear long dresses, tops, shirts, t-shirts, pants, hoodies, sweaters, and jeans.
It's best to avoid wearing any sleeveless shirts, sleeveless dresses, mini-skirts, and short shorts.
For cooler nights or trips near water or in the desert, make sure to pack a pair of long pants/long skirt and a sweater.
A light jacket is good to have as well.
Things to Do in Dubai in December
Although it does get colder during this time of year, it should still be warm enough to consider taking a pay-what-you-wish Dubai walking tour.
The Dubai Shopping Festival takes place between December 15th - January 29th, and you can expect a lot of fantastic sales at the various shops and retail locations throughout the city during this time.
