DOES JFK AIRPORT HAVE LUGGAGE STORAGE?

Due to security reasons, JFK Airport has limited the luggage storage options they have available on site.

This action was taken after the attacks on Sept. 11th to ensure the safety of the airport and all of its customers.

Thankfully, they do provide a limited service for some visitors if they have a long layover arriving at and departing from JFK Airport.

New York Travel Tips and Hacks

LUGGAGE STORAGE (THE SHARING ECONOMY)

After the success of companies like Airbnb and Uber, many businesses have begun to offer similar services in the storage market.

One such company is called Vertoe, and they work with a variety of retailers, hotels, and other locations to provide storage space for their customers.

The price for most luggage is $5.95 for 24 hours of storage per piece, so this is actually a pretty good alternative to the on-site options.

Plus, you get 5% off when using promo code vertoeshare.

This company also provides insurance of up to $5,000, so you don’t have to worry about losing any of your belongings.

Vertoe has a shop located at the end of the AirTrain line, just before you get onto the NYC Subway, which is perfect for those heading into Manhattan, but they have many other locations.

If you are new to the NYC subway, then read our posts on choosing the right subway pass and how to use the subway.

Vertoe is available via their website and an app that you can download on your smartphone.

No matter how you choose to access their service, you can use their map to find luggage/bag storage wherever you need it.

You'll find more than 380 Bounce storage locations in New York City, which means you won't need to travel very far to find a place where you can drop off your baggage.

MOBILE LUGGAGE STORAGE

This is perhaps the most convenient way to store your luggage, as literally every aspect of the process is taken care of for you.

My Bag Check has more in common with services like Uber than it does with Airbnb because they actually pick up your luggage/bags and deliver them wherever you want.

Although prices are higher than some of the other storage options out there, this is a much easier service to use.

Rather than needing to go back for your belongings later, you can just have them deliver everything to you wherever it is needed.

  • Manhattan Orders - $35
