What to Wear in Nashville in May?

A mix of spring and summer attire works best this month as days can be warm, but nights and mornings are still chilly.

A lightweight jacket or windbreaker will come in handy, especially for cooler nights and mornings. 

In addition, some jeans and perhaps a pair of cowboy boots are recommended. 

An umbrella is a plus for rainy days and a good pair of walking shoes for your visit as the downtown district is hilly, so comfortable footwear is a must. 


Things to Do in Nashville in May

It should be nice and warm this month, so it might be a good time to consider either a pay-what-you-wish or a self-guided walking tour in Nashville.

If you're a baseball fan, both the Nashville Sounds (MiLB) and Vanderbilt Commodores (NCAA) will be playing plenty of home games this month.

You can also visit Nashville Zoo with your kids which is an amazing option to spend your day in warmer months.

May is also Street Food Month in Nashville, so you might want to look for a food truck and grab some delicious southern hot chicken or barbecue!

There are also typically a lot of great concerts to attend. In May 2022, visitors can expect to see performers such as Weird Al, Willie Nelson, Sting, and Bonnie Raitt.
