Updated: January 18, 2023

This post provides several options for luggage storage around the White House in Washington, DC including an option that will pick up and deliver your luggage to you.

WHERE TO STORE LUGGAGE AT THE WHITE HOUSE

Visiting the White House is an incredibly special thing to do while in Washington DC.

Unfortunately, the list of prohibited items is long, so be sure to check it before you arrive for your tour. Also note, all bags are prohibited from being brought into the White House.

There are no luggage or bag storage facilities available in the White House or at the White House Visitor Center. Luckily, there are a few options below for where to store your things.

Luggage Storage in DC (AirBnb Method)

Don't worry, we aren't asking you to rent a room just to store your bag but the idea is the same.

A few companies have created apps that let you find convenient locations to store your bags, such as souvenir and gift shops or convenience stores.

These locations generally open early and close late and have the capacity and the security to hold and secure your luggage.

Vertoe

They have over 25 locations in Washington DC covering the entire city and they are adding locations very rapidly. Many of their locations are open 24/7.

Vertoe’s rates are among the cheapest in Washington DC. Bags cost $5.95/day (online price). See their pricing page for more information.

Plus, you get 5% off when using promo code vertoeshare.

They offer a very generous $5000 in insurance and provide complimentary tamper proof security seals at their locations.

You can book in advance and cancel anytime for a full refund anytime. Click here to find Vertoe locations.

Vertoe gets great reviews on Google and Yelp, having won the “People love us on Yelp Award” for 2017.  We also like how Vertoe users get to rate and review each of their locations, reviews that you could read before checking your bags.
