New Orleans Ghost Tour Meet Point

Gray Line may be known more for their bus tours, but their walking tours are excellent as well. This tour takes you to some of the most haunted spots in the city.

On your trip, you will discover the creepy history behind the Quadroon Ballroom and visit the famous Bourbon Orleans Hotel. You’ll also get the chance to see incredible items such as a vampire slaying kit and relics of voodoo ceremonies!

Gray Line New Orleans has a 4 ½ out of 5 stars rating on TripAdvisor. Reviews of the Ghosts and Spirits tour suggest that it is both fun and educational. Some comments went so far as saying that this was the highlight of their trip!

Even among the handful of negative reviews, the guests had enjoyed other Gray Line tours, so perhaps this tour wasn’t what they expected. Gray Line’s tours around the world are top notch. You’ll more than likely enjoy your Ghost and Spirits Tour.

This company offers several tours. One of their most popular options is their Ghost Tour which takes you around the French Quarter and reveals several historically important locations.

They also offer a French Quarter & Cemetery Tour that includes a visit to St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, referred to as “City of the Dead”.

New Orleans Legendary Walking Tours have a 4 ½ out of 5 stars rating on TripAdvisor. Most reviews are extremely positive and guests seem to enjoy themselves quite a bit. Many reviewers have said that the tour guides are very informative and entertaining, providing a lot of detail about several different locations in the city.

Haunted History Tours

This company’s French Quarter Ghosts & Legends Tour has caught the eye of several television programs including History Channel, Discovery Channel and A&E. The Travel Channel listed this tour as the number one thing to do while in NOLA!  Kudos like that speak for themselves!

This tour takes you through the beautiful neighborhood in NOLA pointing out sites of documented hauntings as well as a haunted pub. The company also offers a Garden District Ghost Tour and you can expect the same kinds of spooky tales in these different locations, distinct from the French Quarter.

The company’s ghost tours have an overall 4 ½ out of 5 stars rating on TripAdvisor.  In hundreds of reviews you will see similar comments:  that the guides are “excellent” “amazing” “great” “entertaining” “knowledgeable” “charming” and it goes on and on!  

There were, of course, some negative reviews. When you have nearly 2,000 guests leaving reviews, you cant possibly expect all 2,000 people to be happy.  But the negative comments account for a mere 10% of all reviews. Based on other guests’ comments there is every indication that these tours are fantastic and that the guides play a big role in that experience.

Ticket prices are comparable to other tour companies and they offer lower prices for children under 11, for seniors and also members of the military and veterans.

This tour company prides itself on providing guided excursions that go beyond the others in terms of locations visited. Their Ghosts of New Orleans Tour takes you to the more obvious sites but then goes a step further by taking you to off-the-beaten-path sites such as LaLaurie Mansion, the Sultan’s Palace, and the Beauregard-Keyes House.

This unique experience has earned the tour a 5 out of 5 stars rating on TripAdvisor. There are only a handful of negative reviews, and they don’t appear to have much in common.

The positive reviews often point out that the tour guides are not only knowledgeable, but also a lot of fun to be around. Some have even said that it’s worth bringing a notepad to make notes about all of the information you will discover on your trip.

Known for their ghost tours, this company provides one of the finest voodoo tours in NOLA.  Their Voodoo & St. Louis Cemetery Tour takes you through the French Quarter and the St. Louis Cemetery, where you will learn the history of a real Voodoo Queen who was buried on that land.

You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the Voodoo Museum or purchase magic potions from a local Voodoo Shop! If you want to learn about the history of this folk religion while walking around some of the oldest and most haunted locations in the city, this walking tour won’t disappoint.

New Orleans Ghost Adventures Tours has received a 5-star rating on TripAdvisor. There are literally only a few negative reviews, and there did not appear to be any common ground between these comments. On the other hand, the positive reviews all report that this company provides fun and educational tours.

When it comes to comments that are specifically focused on their voodoo tour, it would appear that they have yet to receive any negative reviews. Guests have said that they learned a lot about the often misrepresented religion while taking this trek.

Some have said that the guides are great storytellers, and that’s definitely an important factor when it comes to taking a haunted history tour. This vampire tour is one of the few in New Orleans that focuses specifically on the undead terrors of the night. If you want to learn more about vampires and the historically accurate events that inspired the creation of the myth, this walking tour will definitely do the trick. 

Reviews for this vampire tour are generally favorable, with only a handful of guests choosing to give the company a poor rating. That being said, over 150 reviewers on TripAdvisor have given this particular tour a 5-star rating.

Several reviews state that the guides are very intelligent and entertaining, while others point out that this is an excellent family experience. The general consensus is that this walking tour includes a lot of terrifyingly true tales about supernatural happenings in New Orleans, making it great for both visitors and residents alike.

There are only a few negative reviews of this pub crawl on TripAdvisor. Most guests enjoyed themselves, reporting that you will learn a lot about the actual history of the bars you visit.

Even people who did not see any ghostly activity on their trip said that they had a great time. The negative comments don’t seem to have much in common, and they don’t seem to be indicative of anything more than a one time issue.

Guests who enjoyed this tour seem to have appreciated the historical aspect of the trip, so it’s safe to say that this is a great haunted pub crawl for anyone who wants to learn about the spooky history behind New Orleans bars.

There are no negative reviews for this haunted pub crawl on TripAdvisor. Every single comment is positive, and that’s a very good sign. Guests report that after you spend some time learning about the history of each location, you are given time to enjoy the pub and get a drink or two.

Some say that this isn’t necessarily a spooky tour, indicating that it’s more about discovering the strange tales that became historical fact in these bars. One reviewer said that they were taken to locations they would never have found on their own, so you might even get to visit a few places off the beaten path.

Complaints range from uninformative tour guides to disinterested guests.  However, the positive reviews far outweigh the negatives. The price is reasonable given the number of topics you explore in the tours. Price points are based on age or status so for families with children these tours are an excellent value.
