Brooklyn Heights Tours

This page covers the many tours of Brooklyn Heights that you can take with us, Free Tours by Foot, including a guided tour and our GPS-enabled, self-guided audio tour.

WHAT IS THERE TO SEE IN BROOKLYN HEIGHTS?

Known as America’s first suburb, Brooklyn Heights is truly a gem. Travel and Leisure named it one of America’s top 10 most beautiful neighborhoods, and its beauty is rivaled only by its place in American history.

These quaint, tree-lined streets have been the sites of Revolutionary War battles, abolitionist activism and have inspired numerous novelists. Visit a stop on the Underground Railroad, or the home of Truman Capote, where he penned Breakfast at Tiffany’s and where Jackie Robinson signed with the Dodgers.

SELF-GUIDED AND AUDIO TOURS

We also offer 2 self-guided options, a GPS-enabled audio tour or a self-guided tour.

The 1st option is our self-guided audio tour. This option is our full tour of Brooklyn Heights and was researched and recorded by one of our tour guides from the neighborhood. Listen to a sample.

You’ll need to download our free audio tour app. Downloads are only $1.99. We also offer 9 other NYC audio tours.

Here is how it works:

  1. Download our free NYC walking tour app on (iTunes) or (Android).
  2. Download any audio tour(s).
  3. Enjoy the tour(s).

Even if you don’t download any tours, you will still have access to valuable information on sightseeing, eating and playing in the Big Apple.

Our second option is totally free (hence our name). You can take this tour by viewing or downloading this PDF file or by following the tour on this Google Map. This version isn’t as in-depth as the audio or public tours, but it will give you a good overview.
