WHAT AND WHEN IS BROADWAY WEEK?
During Broadway Week, you can get two-for-the-price-of-one tickets to many of the best Broadway shows.
It occurs twice a year, first in late January to early February and then again in early to mid-September.
One great thing about Broadway Week is that it lasts two weeks, so don't let the name fool you!
That means people like me can see more shows for less money every year. You just can't beat it.

If you are planning a trip around these times, check out our posts on things to do in January, February, and September.
HOW TO GET TICKETS
There are two ways to purchase your Broadway Week tickets. I prefer the first option, but that's just a personal preference.
Both options go live typically at 10 am on the date specified on the Broadway Week website.
Option 1
Go to the official Broadway Week website. On that page, you will see the list of participating shows.
Click on the show you want and you will be taken to the official ticket seller website for that show (for most shows it is Telecharge or Ticketmaster, some are Seat Geek or Broadway Direct).
Follow the process you normally would to buy tickets.
The price you will see per ticket is 50% off the usual price, so when you buy two tickets it is the same as getting two-for-one pricing.
The code BWAYWK25 should automatically be applied, though make sure to double check before you complete your purchase.
Option 2
Option 1 is the easiest way to purchase tickets for Broadway Week. But here is an alternative in case you if for any reason you have trouble using Option 1.
Go directly to the ticket seller's website for the show you want to see and use the promo code provided on the Broadway Week website.
Regardless of which method you use to try to buy tickets, you should be prepared for heartbreak. It is possible to get tickets during Broadway Week, but there is no guarantee.
But don’t fret! There are other ways you can save big on Broadway tickets.
See the section below to find out.
OTHER WAYS TO GET CHEAP BROADWAY TICKETS
If you aren't here for Broadway Week, don't panic. There are several ways to get Broadway tickets at affordable prices.
These include entering ticket lotteries, purchasing tickets from the TKTS booth, trying for RUSH tickets and using Broadway Roulette.

Also, many tourist attraction passes offer savings on select Broadway shows. For example:
- The New York Pass can save you up to 10% off full-price tickets on specific Broadway shows.
- The Sightseeing Pass and The Sightseeing Flex Pass get you $20 off tickets.
There are, of course, many other benefits of getting a tourist pass.
The biggest benefit is saving a great deal of money. Some passes can save you up to 55% on your itinerary of attractions to see.
